About Vets Ready Link

Vets Ready Link — also known as Veteran Ready Link — is a free, community-driven resource navigation and disaster coordination platform that connects Veterans, caregivers, and advocates to verified resources across Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho. The platform provides a live operational feed of real-time disaster updates, evacuation levels, air quality alerts, road closures, shelter openings, and VA facility status, alongside a vetted directory of trusted nonprofits and community organizations. An interactive live map visualizes VA facilities, Vet Centers, shelters, and food pantries so that help is never more than one link away.

The platform is built for Veterans, active duty service members, family members, caregivers, chaplains, volunteers, and Veteran Service Officers who need reliable, up-to-date information without the runaround. It also serves partner nonprofits, tribal organizations, and government agencies seeking to coordinate disaster response and share verified resources with the community they serve.

Vets Ready Link is an independent nonprofit community resource operated by GS Howe Publishing LLC. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), VHA, VBA, WDVA, FEMA, or any federal, state, tribal, or local government agency unless explicitly stated. The platform was built in response to the Spokane Fire Complex, with a firm commitment to privacy: it will never contact users for information, and it never tracks or sells personal data.
